Katy Perry Plays ‘Don’t React’ Game on Tron Roller Coaster, Face Card Never Declines
Katy Perry proved her legendary composure isn’t just for the stage. The pop star recently took on the “don’t react” challenge while riding the Tron Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland.
Deadpan on the Coaster
In a video shared by the park, Perry, 41, is asked to try the ride, but with one rule: keep a deadpan expression. “Just deadpan? I can do that,” she agrees, confidently stepping onto the ride’s futuristic motorbikes.
As the coaster launches through darkened tunnels and rockets outside at speeds up to 59 mph, Perry doesn’t flinch, not once. When the ride slows, she faces the camera, gives a thumbs-up, and finally smiles: “I didn’t react.” Excited by her own success, she even asks to ride again, as fellow visitors cheer.
Fans Praise Her Composure
Fans were quick to celebrate her calm under pressure. Comments praised her ability to stay stone-faced, with one writing, “She understood the assignment,” and another noting, “Katy Perry’s face card never declines.”
A Trip to Remember
Perry’s visit to Shanghai Disneyland follows her Thanksgiving trip to the park during her Lifetimes World Tour in 2025, where she enjoyed rides, met characters, and even sported sparkly Mickey Mouse ears.
Katy vs. John Stamos
The “don’t react” challenge isn’t easy, John Stamos famously attempted it on the same Tron ride last year, only to let out loud screams once the ride picked up speed. Perry, however, showed that keeping a straight face is a skill all her own.
